The Four Noble Truths

The Buddha presented his entire teaching as a kind of medicine: a diagnosis of the human condition, its cause, the news that it can be cured, and the treatment. These are the Four Noble Truths - the foundation of everything that follows.

What you'll be able to recall

You learned that the Buddha framed his teaching as diagnosis, cause, cure, and treatment. Reconstruct the Four Noble Truths in order, and explain why ‘craving’ rather than circumstance is named as the cause of suffering, in your own words.
